When we started Auto City nearly 10 years ago, we looked at all the things we knew people disliked about car shopping and made sure we did the exact opposite – Like up-front pricing that takes haggling out of the equation. Our early customers loved not feeling the pressure of trying to negotiate a lower price, and we’ve stuck to that approach ever since. Then we added in our you know what we know concept – every vehicle listed on our website has a history report with it, so you’ll know as much as we know about the vehicle, including accidents and major repairs. But then we decided to go even further and we made sure all our staff worked together to make buying a car from Auto City a relaxed, no-pressure experience – that means not rushing people to make a decision, or pushing towards higher-priced vehicles. You set the pace and we follow. We also made sure that every single vehicle on our lot was only of the highest quality – that means choosing only the best and still giving it a thorough inspection, servicing, and detailing. Finally, we worked hard to establish relationships with many of the top banks and lenders to make sure we can help you find the financing you need, whatever the status of your credit.

Within two years of opening at our original location, we were successful enough to open the spacious new location in El Cajon where we remain today with its full service department outfitted with the latest in automotive technologies and certified technicians. We’ve put the final nail in the coffin of bad used car shopping with an approach and a team dedicated to one thing and one thing only – making the used car buying process something you will love. Our address is 400 North Johnson Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. We stay open until our last customer leaves! Our “official” hours, however, are 9AM-8PM (Monday through Saturday) and 11AM- 6PM on Sundays. Our service department is open 8AM-6PM (Monday through Friday) and 9AM-5PM on Saturdays, but is closed on Sundays.

Auto City opened its doors in 2008 at a small location in central San Diego with a vision to make car buying better and make car dealers likable again.
